2008Say Goodnight to the Bad Guy
Following workshops funded by Awards for All in which the company worked with young and adult offenders to develop storylines exploring gangs and gangsterism, Rideout completed a tour of a show to prisons and community venues across the West Midlands.
Nathan comes out of prison to find his community still buzzing about the death of his cousin. No one has yet been charged with the murder, and the police don't appear to have any key suspects. It's possible that individuals within the community know the individual responsible, but who will talk? In this climate, Nathan gets drawn into attempts to revenge his cousin's death.
Say Goodnight to the Bad Guy was a play about gangs, guns and the impulse for revenge.
